Tabata workouts 11/4/2014
Is anyone familiar with Tabata workouts?
I do a 20 sec on/ 20 second off x 8, set during my bike workouts.
Can anyone recommend a different ratio or a different mode
of doing them. I have tried them on a rowing ergometer but
not running as of yet.
Is there any rules for doing them that would be useful to
know?

We recently met a couple and the woman was listed as average.
They knew we were disappointed when we met mostly because
the woman was 5' and weighed over 200+ lbs. We're
sorry but in what universe is that average?

Fit isn't muscular any more than someone claiming
to be average when they are 30 or more pounds overweight.
You don't have to MR or MRS Universe but you can't
be the Stay Puff Marshmallow man either.

Natural fitness 10/20/2014
I have heard many comments about how much time I must spend
working out. I have never worked out in my life, I stay busy
all day, I use a push mower to mow my lawn. Am I just lucky to
be in fair shape or is there other people who have no problem
staying in shape

Glutes to reduce lower back pain 10/1/2014
I'm kinda big on working out my glutes lately. I've
found working them out regularly has reduced my lower back
stiffness and pain. It's fantastic. I stumbled upon
it really. Someone showed me some glute exercises at the

women don't meet the Government recommended level
of exercise - 3 x 30 mins a week. The number of active men is
higher but still obesity rates are climbing steadily for

The biggest tip i can give anyone who works out and havent
done any research on exercise is to avoid injury. Proper
technique and not overtraining are the most important
aspects in avoiding injury. Dont ever feel embarassed
or afraid to ask a personal trainer for help because thats

mid race diversion 8/25/2014
As a runner, I have taken part in a number of marathons over

Running/jogging 8/16/2014
Just as an experiment I switched from landing heel first
to balls of my feet... just to see if it would make a difference
on my knees. It seems to help but is killer on my calves.
Are there any runners in here that run on the balls of your
feet instead of the very common heel first. All the running
shoes are designed for heel first style I think.

Working out without bulking up? 8/5/2014
Right now I am working out on an elliptical machine, trying
to lose weight, but not wanting to build up anymore muscles.
